Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Pierce County Criminal History. Using the resource means that you accept them. If you disagree, stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. Pierce County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. This resource and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site points readers to criminal-record sources in Pierce County, Wisconsin. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent, private reference site. It does not store official records, retrieve a record, perform an official check, or submit government forms for a visitor.

Its role is to identify sources such as Pierce County Sheriff Records, the Pierce County Circuit Court, the Wisconsin DOJ Crime Information Bureau, and the Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry, along with optional outside search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the pages
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass someone with information found here
  • Interfere with service or prevent another visitor's access
  • Use site content in an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system
  • Violate federal, Wisconsin, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Site or linked-tool information may not be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. Wisconsin law gives special weight to registry misuse. Wis. Stat. §301.45 prohibits threatening, intimidating, or harassing a registrant through use of Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry data. Registry access supports public awareness, not retaliation or vigilante conduct.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a tool designed for decisions regulated by that law. You must not use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Set insurance terms or judge credit
  • Evaluate a person for work
  • Make a housing decision
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public program
  • Take any other action governed by the FCRA

A legally permitted purpose requires the proper official Wisconsin channel or a service that complies with the FCRA and all other applicable law.

5. No Legal Advice

General Pierce County record information is not legal advice. Only a licensed Wisconsin attorney can advise how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule affects a specific person.

6. No Warranties

All content is provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • A partner result will be complete or correct
  • Every fact is current, accurate, or complete
  • The service will always be available without interruption
  • The pages contain no bug, error, or security weakness

Charges, dispositions, access rules, sealing, and expungement can change a record. Gaps or stale details can occur. Nothing published here is an official statement from Pierce County, Wisconsin DOJ, a court, or any law-enforcement agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to courts, sheriff and state pages, legal resources, and outside services. We do not control a destination's availability, charges, data practices, or content. Its own terms apply after you leave this site.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, code, graphics, and logos belong to Pierce County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, altered, distributed, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for damages tied to use of the site, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and actions caused by your use of the site or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Wisconsin law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with site use must be brought in a court located in Wisconsin.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. The affected provision will be changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions
