Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search box is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its response. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so we can answer it. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may collect standard technical details about the visit:
- Page-view timestamps and time spent on a page
- Device type and operating system
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Browser name and version
- The pages viewed during a visit
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Pierce County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to Pierce County offices, Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, the Wisconsin DOJ Crime Information Bureau, and the Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms control any data placed in those tools, including retention and disclosure. Read the provider's policy before sending a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Pierce County offices, Wisconsin agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy applies. Review it before providing personal data.
Advertising companies may track activity across websites to select ads. Such tracking occurs through their systems.

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be available to:

This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will delete it.

Rights can vary by residence. Wisconsin's Public Records Law governs access to government records, while Wis. Stat. §165.83 addresses state criminal-history reporting. Neither turns this private resource into a government custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request deletion of eligible personal data
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Object to certain processing where the law permits
- Request correction of inaccurate information
